Wanted Leninallee, 2014 This work is a voyage into my past. It is a journey to people and places. I am accompanied by a paper (189 x 150 cm) whose function is multiple. It is diary, map, picnic blanket, handmade. It is a drawing. And it's a protocol. 
I started where I grew up. Berlin, Landsberger Allee (Leninallee). The blue bag is the travel bag for the paper. The highest point of the Oderbruchkippe (also known as Volkspark Prenzlauer Berg) was the setting for films like "Jahrgang 45", 1966 by Jürgen Böttcher and "Die Legende von Paul und Paula", 1973 by Heiner Carow.

This paper has my body measurements. 
I visited my longest friend who has lived near Rome for years. 
Cutting. Turn one half and then connect the two parts again. 
Return. The paper in my place. In the largest development area of the mid 60s - early 70s in East Berlin. 
I invited colleages for brunch. 
After brunch. 
I visited the mother of a school friend. I invited her to embroider the leaf with me. 
Oderbruchkippe. After the 2nd World War, the building rubble of the destroyed Berlin was deposited on the site. The park was created in the 1960s. 
Near Dresden. As a child I spent every summer holiday there. 
Best view from Prenzlauer Berg 17, 58 meters high. Since 1913 the street is called that. This was the "Mühlenberg", on which windmills had been standing since 1748. |
